All Facebook: Facebook Rolls Out Page Layout Preview Prior To Change In Page Width
Facebook, Social News Add commentsThis is a repost of an article that originally appeared at All Facebook
With Facebook’s new Page layout being rolled out on August 26th, and with the custom profile tabs being resized, Facebook has rolled out a new preview tool for administrators. The “tool” has made it so that custom tabs will now be displayed to page administrators as the resized version. That means your custom tab, if it hasn’t been resized already, will appear to be cut off. Right now the new layout is only visible to the administrator of the Pages but a useful reminder that the custom tab is in the process of being changed.
While many Facebook Page administrators don’t leverage custom tabs, a large percentage of administrators take advantage of the feature to convert new visitors into fans. Others use the feature for custom applications. As such we’re seeing most of the brands beginning to make the shift. As we previously wrote, the change will be pushed out on August 26th so you have at least a couple of weeks to make the necessary adjustments.
You can learn more about the change via the Facebook developer blog.
